With each book, I try to tell a different story with our secrets. In the second book, My Secret, I tried to assemble a book with the message I needed to see when I was struggling with feelings of directionless in high school and lonely at college. (2) In that book my secret is the one typed on the Catcher in the Rye book cover. The latest book - A Lifetime of Secrets - tells the story of how we and our secrets change as we grow older. It also includes several emails I have received from people sharing other ingenious ways of sharing secrets. Here is one example - My boyfriend and I knew we had to do something important or else our relationship would fall apart. So we took markers and wrote our deepest secrets on each other's backs.
