The Indianapolis Colts have promoted Tom Telesco to vice president of football operations as their offseason overhaul continues. Telesco has spent 14 seasons with the Colts, the last six as director of player personnel. "I've known Tom for a long time and we have a mutual...

The Panthers have re-signed long snapper J.J. Jansen to a four-year contract extension and linebacker Jason Phillips to a one-year extension. The team announced the deals Wednesday. Financial terms of the deals were not released. Both players were set to become restricted free agents on March 13. Jansen has had only one bad snap in three seasons with Carolina.

The Panthers say they have informed permanent seat license (PSL) owners they will not raise season ticket prices for the 2012 season. There was a spike in interest in Carolina following the arrival of No. 1 overall draft pick Cam Newton, The Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year. Carolina still finished below .500 with a 6-10 record, though games were closer and more competitive than they...
The Panthers made one tweak to their coaching staff last week, making a move coach Ron Rivera wanted from the beginning.
They replaced defensive backs coach (and former coordinator under John Fox) Ron Meeks with San Diego's Steve Wilks.
Wilks had worked with Rivera in both Chicago and San Diego, but the Chargers wouldn't let him out of the last year of his contract in 2011, so the Panthers let Meeks keep the seat warm for a year.
If nothing else, he's more of a schematic fit with Rivera. The two helped the Chargers bounce from 31st in pass defense in 2008 to 11th the following year, and tops in the league in both pass defense and total defense in 2010.
Meeks was a classic Tampa-2 coach, comfortable calling a more conservative style.

The Carolina Panthers are certainly in better shape than they were in 2011 where free agent losses are concerned. Last year, the Panthers were trying to keep Charles Johnson and DeAngelo Williams, plus several other important players.

The Dallas Cowboys had two former members available for the Hall of Fame in 2012 in Bill Parcells and Charles Haley. Neither made it, although it is pretty much assured they will both enter the Hall one day. 2013 is the year they should make it in although it will be a crowed Hall...

The strangest coaching decision during Super Bowl week wasn't when Bill Belichick ordered his defence to act like matadors and wave Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw by for a touchdown from six yards out with less than a minute left in the game. That's just the one people will remember. The really odd one came four days earlier when the uber-prepared Patriots coach, anticipating a halftime show that would dictate a 30-minute intermission rather than the usual 12, ordered his players to take a break from practising football and practice sitting in the locker-room for a half-hour instead.

2 or 4 50-YARD LINE Carolina Panthers PSLs FOR SALE SECT. 132 ROW 13 (Bank of America Stadium) $...
29 Jan 2012 at 2:29pm
I've got seats in Section 132 Row 13. I am willing to sell seats 3-4 for a total of $40,000.00/obo. I have seats 1-4, and if you would like them all, I would ask for a total of $100,000/obo. Let me know if you're interested. You can respond via e-mail or reach me at 704.996.5202. With this team heading in the right direction, this is a sound investment as prices will probably increase by $10k per seat if the team makes the playoffs in the next 1-3 years. I have had the PSLs since the inaugural season in 1995, and I am holding on to will probably hold on to two of the seats, but my sons have both graduated from college, so there is much less incentive to go to the games. The 50 yard line literally goes through the middle of the seats, and this is the perfect height in the stadium. Any lower in the section, and you are unable to see the plays develop and have access to plays across the field. Additionally, this is right behind the Panther's bench, so you are up close and personal with Cam Newton and Steve Smith. I will cover the $300 transfer fee that is required, but you will have to purchase the tickets for the 2012 season. This past season, I was able to sell 4 of the games on Stubhub.com, go to 4 games, and I still made a profit on the tickets. They are $109 face value.
Thanks!

2 PANTHERS PSLs lower level (sec 102, row 9, seats 11,12) $6500
21 Jan 2012 at 6:02pm
Section 102, Row 9, Seats 11, 12 - lower level, endzone, great seats just up from the rail. Asking $3250 for each PSL, $6500 total. The PSL "contract" is made through the Panther's ticket office. We've had the PSL's since 1995 and enjoyed them thoroughly (must sell due to move). Seats close to bathrooms and easily reached from the North Gate entrance.
There is a $300 transfer fee that I will cover and the transfer process can take up to 6 weeks. The transfer period is Feb 1st - May 15th. Tickets this year were $83 for 2 preseason games and 8 home games, or $1660 total for both seats. You are required to purchase the tickets before the season, and payment plans change annually (we have not purchased tickets for 2012 yet). Please call Graham at 704 618-2088 at anytime. Thanks.

9 Feb 2012 at 7:41am
4 Carolina Panthers Silver Club Seat PSLs (Parking Pass Included). Seats are located in Section 323, Row 13, Seats 5-8. These seats allow you great sightlines as you are elevated and can see plays develop. Seats are around the 5 yard line on the visitor's side. The Club Seats also allow you to enjoy the amenities in an air conditioned/heated facility in the event the elments prove to be too harsh in the summer or winter.
I am selling each Silver Club PSL for $2,495. **One thing to note that the PSLs do not include the Season Tickets. That is a separate annual cost which was $6,005 for the 2011 Seaon for all 4 seats. Face value for each ticket is $150 which is one of the cheaper priced seats in the Club Section**. I will include a Parking Pass assuming the Buyer buys all 4 PSLs. Parking deck is located at the BB&T Parking Garage which is located at the corner of 4th Street and College Street.
Buyer must pay cash, Official Check, or PayPal (Buyer must pay PayPal Fees if choosing this payment option). Buyer must pay any transaction fees that are charged by the Carolina Panthers Ticket Office.
Feel free to email me if you have any further questions or call me at (980) 428-9578.
