When the Pistons lost at New Jersey last week, their record was 4-20 and some people wondered if they could reach 10 wins this season.
Following the rematch Wednesday, some of the cynicism regarding the team has died down. A three-game winning streak might seem modest for many teams, but for the Pistons, it's a welcome relief from the steady stream of misery they endured during the first 5-1/2 weeks of the season.
Their 99-92 victory in New Jersey gave them the feeling that the next three months might not be so bad after all. Those teams will play once again, this time at The Palace, on Friday.
"Everybody's giving more effort the whole game and we're not having as many lapses as we had before," center Greg Monroe said.

These seats are perfect for large crowds and have many benefits. Comerica Park is going to be packed but you won't be. You are in a row all by yourself and you will never have to get up or down to let people by. Enormous amount of leg and elbow room. Perfect for larger folks or closterphobics. If you have children they will be able to move about freely without being in anybody's way. You don't have to be handicap to sit in my seats, but if you are, two of the four seats are removable for wheelchair access. Great view of the whole field and food court and restrooms are just a step away. $800 total for all four tickets. I have Club Access if you need it. Thanks
