The first half has not been an issue for the Dallas Mavericks and it wasn't again Wednesday night at Denver as they reeled off 64 points, the most the Nuggets have allowed all season.
The Mavs' problem has been the second half and particularly the third quarter where they had more turnovers (17) than baskets (14) during their three-game losing skid. In those three games, Dallas averaged 35 points in the second half and just better than 30 percent shooting.
Dallas finally exorcised those demons with 46.3 percent shooting in the second half of their 105-95 win over the Nuggets that ended Dallas' skid at three and extended Denver's to four.
"Our second half was terrific," Mavs coach Rick Carlisle said.

Dirk Nowitzki helped the Dallas Mavericks put an end to two slumps at once. Nowitzki scored 25 points and the Mavericks snapped a three-game skid by beating the undermanned Denver Nuggets 105-95 on Wednesday night. It was also Dallas' first victory in five tries against the Nuggets. "A win. A much needed win," Nowitzki said.

Step 3: Immediately following receipt and processing of the reservation deposit, a Registration Confirmation letter or email (if registered online) will be sent directing you to the travel selection website, where you will submit your preferred destination and departure dates. Three (3) departure travel dates are required. Your first selected date must be at least forty five (45) days in advance, subsequent dates must be at least thirty (30) days apart.
Step 4: An invitation by mail/email to contact the reservation center will be sent at least 45 days prior to the earliest travel date selected. During the reservation call your hotel accommodations will be confirmed for one of the dates requested and you will be made aware of the hotel name and address for which you are confirmed. Your contact information will be verified, and your $50 reservation deposit will be applied to any required hotel fees state and/or federal taxes due.
If the hotel fees, state/or federal taxes due exceed your pre-paid $50 reservation deposit, the excess amount must be paid using a major credit card. Itineraries
This offer is applicable for two adults arriving Sunday through Tuesday to one of the destinations listed on the front of this certificate, based on Spirit Incentives' hotel availability. Availability is limited during peak seasons and major holidays which include New Year's Day, Presidents Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas. Peak seasons may vary by location.
Charges
