The Rockies have trained in Tucson, Ariz., at Hi Corbett Field since they came into existence in 1993. Their future at Hi Corbett is limited, and ultimately they may leave Tucson.
The Chicago White Sox recently pulled out of that city, leaving the Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks behind. The Pima County Board of Supervisors approved the White Sox's $5 million offer to break their lease and move out of Tucson Electric Park. The White Sox will join the Los Angeles Dodgers in a new spring training facility that will open in 2009 in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale. The Rockies' lease at Hi Corbett runs through 2011, and the Rockies have no intention of returning when their lease with the city of Tucson expires because the facility falls short of filling modern needs. ...

One-inning relief pitchers like Francisco Rodriguez aren't worth the big bucks, an analysis shows.

Star outfielder Matt Holliday appears headed to the Oakland Athletics in a surprising move for a franchise known more for shedding stars than adding them. Two people familiar with the proposed deal said Monday the A's and the Colorado Rockies have reached a tentative agreement. Both people spoke on condition of anonymity because the trade had not been finalized and details were still in the works.

Need Broncos Tickets for this week (Buckley AFB) $1
Looking for Broncos tickets for this Sunday versus the Raiders. I'm active duty Navy out at Buckley AFB and I help take care of the Sailors who have deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. I consistently work with the community when Sailors come home from overseas to get services donated so they can spend quality time with their families (movies, restaurants, and sporting events). I have worked with the Rockies, The Avalanche, The Nuggets, but I can't break into the Broncos organization. The first thing that most Sailors ask me about when they return home is, "Can you get tickets to a Broncos game?" I have to tell them no.
I'm hoping that you might be able to help me tell them yes. Would you be interested in possibly donating your tickets so a family can see a game? Do you know a season ticket holder that isn't going to a game? Are you a season ticket holder that just doesn't want to attend a particular game, or is going to be out of town? Do you have control over a box at the field where you wouldn't mind having a couple of extra military folks in the mix?
If this is you, please give me a call. I can be reached during the day at 303-677-6040. Please don't call me and give me a hard time if you are not in agreement with what I am asking for. The community of Denver has been more than generous in donations, and I don't think I am asking for anything outrageous. If you don't agree with this post, email me and I will be happy to talk to you about it via email.
I am hoping that this post targets the folks that I am looking for. I hope to talk to you soon.

2009 Colorado Rockies Ticket Partner (Denver Metro) $1
We are looking for a partner to split our tickets with. We have small children and simply cannot afford the time or the cost of going to all the games.
We have a mini plan of 20 games, with 2 seats per game. Games are usually on Tuesday evenings and Saturdays. Last seasons cost was $1,500 total. We will split the cost and the games with you. You will be getting 2 seats to 10 games for about $750. (Actual price to be determined when the Rockies release the 2009 prices).
If interested, I require half ($125)the deposit that I have already paid ($250) so I know you are serious and won't leave me hanging with $1,500 bill next spring. Once we get billed for the balance, I will require the remaining share of your half at that time.
The tickets come with post season rights as well, of which we will split evenly with you. (Post season tickets are at an additional cost and are determined by the MLB). Please let me know as soon as possible, otherwise, I need to cancel our renewal or the wives will have our heads. Jacob 303-941-7078. Thank you!

The only game we care about deeply is opening day. In exchange you get the 4th of July fireworks game. The remaining 18 games can be split over a cold beer or two. Our seats were in midfield box section 119 this year. We want to move to midfield box 142 or 143 next year.
