For the first time in his four seasons with the organization, relief pitcher Ronald Belisario reported to spring training on time. In fact, the right-hander showed up to camp three weeks early.

Belisario, who missed 2011 while battling visa and legal issues in Venezuela, has already been seen at the Dodgers' spring training facility at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz., beginning workouts to prepare for the season.

Signed to a minor league contract prior to the 2009 season, Belisario showed up late to camp because of visa issues, but impressed the coaching staff well enough to earn a spot on the opening day roster.

NL Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers avoided a salary arbitration hearing next week, agreeing to a $19 million, two-year contract. Tuesday's deal for the 23-year-old left-hander calls for a $500,000 signing bonus and salaries of $7.5 million this year and $11 million in 2013.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to terms with right-handed reliever Todd Coffey on a $1.3 million, one-year contract with a club option for 2013. The deal, announced Friday, will pay Coffey $1 million this season. The Dodgers hold a $2.5 million option for next season with a $300,000 buyout. Coffey was 5-1 with a 3.62 ERA in 69 games with Washington last season.
