Hello, I just wanted to let everyone know who is looking for a new home to stop by a house in my neighborhood of Bretton Ridge to check out a very large home that would be welcome space for those who are looking sell their smaller home. Say good buy to the cramped starter home or apartment living! You won't feel cramped in this home. It has over 3,000 square feet! So it is a great home for entertaining and to raise a family.
Unfortunately, it has been on the market for almost 2 yrs and several price drops later. The house is right down the street from me, so I pass it each day. The neighbors on each side are forced to do the yard work, which they are very tired of maintaining 2 yards, since the person who was supposed to be in charge of that seldom comes by to mow grass, rake leaves, and clear snow in the winter. The owner moved out of state and has not come back. So, the listed price you might be able to get lowered if you have a tight budget, as there have been virtually no offers on the home, largely due to the price. It is on the high side for this neighborhood.
Since it has been sitting for so long, it will need a dedicated homeowner to bring their decorating and landscaping talents to make it shine again. The driveway was repaved in recent yrs and is plenty large to fit 2 cars next to each other, but some trees could use a little trimming.
The house could use some new siding, as many prospective buyers have been turned off by the exterior paint colors: dark brown and bright yellow! It would mean a lot to my neighbors if someone could buy it, even if it is just to fix it up and resell it or rent it out for a while, as some other homes in the neighborhood were fixed up and rented out, if only for a short time. The home has a lot of potential and will make a great place for someone to live!
