Kenny Chesney Writes Song About Break Up With Renee Zellweger
13 Oct 2008 at 11:44am

Country singer Kenny Chesney has plenty to sing about when it comes to heartbreak. Kenny told Newsweek his new album, "Lucky Old Sun," was written after his marriage to Renee Zellweger was annulled in 2005.

"In 2006, I was probably as emotionally and mentally exhausted as I'd ever been. And that was due to a lot of things—having the foot on the gas pedal constantly, and my breakup with Renée Zellweger," Kenny says.

"I got in a plane and went down to the Virgin Islands. I was completely by myself. I didn't want to be around anybody. So, the next thing you know, it's me and a pen and I sat down and wrote a lot of lines of this song, 'Nowhere to Go, Nowhere to Be.'"

Band from TV Releasing Debut DVD/CD for Charity
11 Oct 2008 at 9:23am

The all-star group covers a bunch of classics live in concert.

You know their famous faces from TV. Now, prepare to experience to the sonic awesomeness that is their music! Band from TV -- featuring Hugh Laurie ("House"), James Denton ("Desperate Housewives"), Greg Grunberg ("Heroes"), Bob Guiney ("The Bachelor") and Bonnie Somerville ("Cashmere Mafia") -- are set to unleash their debut DVD/CD, "Hoggin' All the Covers," on October 28 through Amazon -- and proceeds go to charity!

The live set showcases the all-star group at their finest, playing 13 classic rock ‘n’ roll hits such as “Piece of My Heart,” “Mustang Sally” and “The Letter” before an audience in L.A. The DVD includes never-before-seen footage of rehearsals, candid moments amongst the band members, exclusive interviews and information on the array of charities that will benefit from sales.

How did such a talented crop of TV stars come together to form the band? Greg got the idea to put together a philanthropic super-group after playing drums at a “House of Blues” charity concert, and through a series of acting roles and coincidences, he met Hugh (keyboards), then James (guitar, vocals) and Bob (vocals). Soon after, Bonnie (vocals) joined the group and Band from TV was formed.
