Question: Will the LG Voyager drop when the new Verizon phones come out?

I have read so many articles on this I think brain is going to explode. I just want a true answer from someone if the LG Voyager will drop when the new phones like the Samsung Glyde, Env2, and LG Dare come out. I want to get it very badly but I don't want to get it and then have the price drop a few weeks after I purchase it. Please, I need an answer.

The price for the Voyager is most likely not going to drop any time soon. The new phones are not competition for the Voyager, and are not nearly as advanced as the Voyager. The Voyager was also designed with advanced technology so that Verizon can continue to release firmware that will make the phone better. The price will drop eventually, or the Voyager will be replaced... but in opinion that could be a year from now.

Question: My cell phone provider is Verizon and I have an LG phone....can I use that with another provider?

I purchased phone through verizon.com (has verizon logo's all over it) with a 2 year contract (which is almost completed). I pay about $60 per month for bill and a local provider (SRT) charges only $30 per month (though it only works well in town....which isn't a problem). But I've talked with people and some have said the LG phone I bought can only be used with Verizon since I bought it from them, and other say it shouldn't be a problem using it with another provider. Can anybody give me a definitive answer? Also how does it work when it comes time to renew? They don't auto-renew do they?

To answer your first question, The Verizon phone will ONLY work with Verizon, it is made for the Verizon Network not any other providers, again it will not work with any other provider. To answer your second question...your plan will continue month to month once your contract is up..you do not need to complete a new contract once it is up but you will continue to get billed for service unless you cancel the service when the contract is up, but they will not renew you for another year or two.

ONLY with verizon because verizon runs on CMDA and if it was T-Mobile ot AT&T you could use it for another provider like unlocking a t mobile phone will work with AT&T unlocking a at&t phone will work with t mobile because they work on GSM

No. Verizon has it set up so you can only use their phones on their network. They don't allow unlocked phones on their network from other providers.

Former Sprint - worker all cell companies have account info, you can set up your page with your number and etc. This page or calling your company will tell you when your plan is up. Now if your wanting a new phone, the time you have to keep your phone from Ver-is 18 months, competing with Sprint for the same time period. If your phone is not working, you must have the insurance and have bought it at start of contract.

You can e mail them , they will get all upset and start calling to ask why. They will answer your question though. Mine is February 9th 09 and they are regretting the day or so they say. But they wont let me use the Data plan the way I want and they are so expensive and so user non friendly.
