Samsung Nexus S i9020 review
Design
It is the latest Android smartphone from Samsung running on Android v2.3 (Gingerbread). The Samsung Nexus S smartphone from Samsung is a stylish handset which has 4-inch "contour" high quality super AMOLED touchscreen display. Contour display means that the device has a concave display that makes it ergonomic as it will easily fit against head while talking on phone. It will operate on a 1GHz Hummingbird processor. This feature makes it a unique first of its kind device. It covers a standard pixel area in the figures of 480 x 800 pixels. Though one may miss LED notifications on this phone, as many as five home screens may be customized on this handset with widgets, apps and folders. The three touch buttons on the base of the display gives direct access to dial pad, main menu and web browser. The Samsung Nexus S is pretty cool as it has a dashing black color and weighs just 129g. It will be endowed with accelerometer, gyroscope and proximity sensors. The most attracting feature of the smartphone is definitely is its sleek look as it is just 10.9mm wide with wide touchscreen.
Gingerbread OS offers a few improvements that will be welcomed by users who wished usability of Android to improve further. There is new copy and paste feature for selecting individual words rather than the whole text. Also, the keys on virtual keyboard are bigger and further spaced apart for faster text-editing and input. T9 dictionary pops up suggestions in yellow colour, however, Swype feature has been omitted. App manager is hugely improved too and is the highlight of Gingerbread OS."Storage Use" gives idea of app being used and "Battery Use" option tells how much power it consumes."Downloads" option clearly shows the titles of data downloaded on the main menu. There is NFC (Near Field Communication) support on Samsung Nexus S that will allow wireless data transfer via use of "tags" with nearby devices.

Music
Samsung Nexus S sports MP3/MP4 player and on top of it, there are 3.5mm audio jack and speakerphones in this smartphone.
Camera
The Samsung Nexus S is equipped with primary camera of 5 MP with digital zoom & LED flash is capable enough to capture a large amount of pixels in the figures of 2592 x 1944 pixels. Autofocus and geotagging feature available in the handset works pretty well. The editing options on this smartphone camera are quite impressive. There are infinity and macro modes, exposure metering, nine "scene" settings (night, beach, etc.), three quality modes, and three color modes. The device facilitates users with video recording in WVGA@30 fps which is also a high class feature enabled in this pretty nice smartphone also laid with secondary front facing VGA camera.
Memory
The Samsung Nexus S has phonebook memory which has the capacity to store practically unlimited phonebook entries, photo call in its internal memory. Call details can also be retrieved as they are kept in records as received, dialed and missed calls. The internal memory is 16 GB and we do miss the absence of a card slot.
Battery LifeTime
The standard battery of 1500mAh allows users to talk for upto 14 hours on 2G and 6 h 40 minutes on 3G networks. The standby time allowed is 713h on 2G and 428h on 3G respectively.

Performance
Samsung Nexus S is a Android phone with 1Ghz CPU which is ideal for business class people, thanks to most synchronized mailing and messaging features. The access to social hubs and browsing via HTML makes it a fast phone in this department. It is also tough and sturdy. It also enjoys quite commendable multimedia options.
Pros
The Samsung Nexus S has a sleek and stylish design with brilliant LCD display. It has an authentic Android v2.3 OS, the new Gingerbread along with a fast processor for superior performance. Gingerbread OS, 1GHz processor, 5MP camera, super AMOLED screen, Wi Fi and video recording features are its highlight.
Cons
Though Samsung Nexus S performs well and looks stunning, the features incorporated in the gadget are not as per the huge expectations we had from a Google Nexus phone. Made of plastic body, it is glossy and shiny but feels a bit fragile.
Overall
Samsung Nexus S is a cool Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) OS device with best features in the league of Android smartphones. It is laid with best technology and hardware features for a great user experience. The goodies of Gingerbread OS can be enjoyed on this device viz. an improvised application manager. The phone has a contour design to fit high ergonomic parameters and convenience of users. The multimedia features like 5MP camera and connectivity features like Wi Fi are not the usual. The picture quality is superior and with fast speed with which this device works, thanks to its 1GHZ processor, it is a treat to use them on Nexus S. Above all, Samsung Nexus S is the first smartphone to run on Google's latest Android platform, Gingerbread.
