462 cubic inch MEL block FoMoCo engine out of a 1966 Lincoln Continental.

I'm asking $5k or best offer.
Lincoln experts have said that my asking price is consistent with the value that they are figuring. It is figured that it will take nearly $4500 to rebuild one from the ground up.

The engine was rebuilt at 60k miles when I bought the car. It currently has about 40 (forty) miles on it since the rebuild. It was professionally rebuilt for $2200 by a Ford engine builder that came highly recommended in my area. It had typical internal items replaced but no major machine work. It wasn't in bad shape, to begin with - it ran fine when I decided to rebuild it, I was just restoring the rest of the car so I decided to restore that as well.

The motor comes turn-key. It has all of the bolt on accessories including the air conditioning compressor. It will also have the exhaust manifolds and starter. All new belts, seals, gaskets, fuel pump, rebuilt distributor, plugs, wires, freeze plugs, thermostat, so on and so forth. I will even throw in the brand new motor mounts. The only thing that isn't an original part off this engine is the carburetor. It came originally with a Carter which is now out of business. When I got it, it had a Holley and that's what I will sell it with.

The engine is ready to mount up to a C6 transmission. This thing is a torque monster and a rare one to get your hands on. I'm pulling it/selling it because I've decided to put a late model FI motor in it instead.

I have found a 462 Block-only on eBay for $2900. Mine is complete and ready to run.

I have just parted out a 97 Mark VIII LSC and I have a complete interior in great shape. I am pretty sure it will fit 93-98 but not posative. I have the console, front and rear seats, all door and side panels, package tray, carpet, headliner and all the moldings. rear seat like knew and front seats are good but typical wear. I know I will regret this, but for sale is an engine I just recently purchased to install into my 98 GT in a future project. Unfortunately for me, I just lost my job and can't afford to do the swap any time soon, and also I need to get my car legal so I am really needing the money more than anything - so my big loss is someone's HUGE gain! Alright down to the details:

Engine was removed from a 1996 Lincoln Mark 8 that was wrecked in the front passenger corner, it had 85k miles on the odometer. I was personally able to start the engine, check the oil pressure, coolant temp, etc. and everything was REAL good on this engine, idled VERY smoothly!! It is only missing the alternator and the A/C compressor, but does come with the complete intake w/IMRC's, flexplate, wiring harness, plug wires, thermostat housing, etc. - it is very complete!

This engine would make a perfect OEM swap into any 93-96 Mark VIII and possible the 97/98's as well. Also, since it is so complete, would be an excellent swap project for a Mustang GT - just use your engine accessories (alternator, a/c compressor, etc.) and engine wiring harness (most plugs are the same anyway) and you're good to go, it'll even run great on the stock tune! I know alot about the swap and can point you towards some forums that will assist you even further if interested. 96-04 GT's have iron blocks, 96-98's make 225 HP, 99-04's make 260 HP, this engine makes 290 HP and has an ALUMINUM block saving you another 75+ lbs!!! SAME ENGINE AS 96-98 COBRA (Except for intake/exhaust manifolds) DON'T MISS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN THIS ENGINE!!!!

****FOX OWNERS! If you want modular power in your Fox mustang then I also have a 4.6L k-member, a-arms, spindles, etc. from a 96 GT to jumpstart your parts list towards swapping in a mod v8, inquire for more details and prices****

I REALLY REALLY hate to sell this engine but I have to! Purchased for $800 just a few months ago, asking just $750 - not looking to go down either.
