Ford 24V Starter works and is in excellent condition. This starter was for 1956 4WD vehicle with a Lincoln 317 Y block. I believe it fits numerous other Ford engines from that era.

The engine is a 5.0 HO Long-Block out of an 88' low-mile Lincoln Mark VII (same engine as the Mustang).

The engine had less then 100k on it. The engine was freshened-up and converted to run an Edelbrock Performer Intake/4-BBL Carb.

The engine does not include accessories (alternator, starter, water pump, brackets, etc).

Lincoln 317 Y Block Motor was removed from an aircraft ground support vehicle that was never driven on the street or highway use. I was informed that the vehicle miles were only 2,417 miles from the service records. Motor ran when parked and stored a little over 14 years ago.

This first generation Y-block was actually the 317 cu in (5.2 L) with a power output of 205 hp (153 kW). This engines used the same solid valve lifters used in truck engines, and were to power the "Mexican Road Race Lincolns". The 317 was replaced by the 341 for automobile applications in the 1955 model year.[1] Like the 279, the 317 was also used in heavy duty truck applications for the 1954 model year only.[3]

Powered by the 317, Lincolns won the top four spots in the Stock Car category of the Pan American Road Race in both 1952 and 1953.[1] In 1954 (its final year) Lincolns took first and second place.[1]

Very sweet rims I bought for an older truck project but will not fit, too wide. Bolt pattern is for 97-03 Ford Expie, Lincoln Navigator or F150 5 lug. Wheel adapters can be purchased for most any hub to make these fit different bolt patterns. They run about $125 on ebay. tires are not included in the price but will leave them on for an extra $300.
