~191K miles, ran when parked, though not very well -- exhibited a metallic tapping sound which grew progressively louder the last few days -- expect a cracked piston skirt as is common with these engines, though I haven't pulled the oil pan to verify. There were no metal shavings or metal pieces/chunks in the oil when changed a few weeks earlier. NOTE: Neither option below will include accessories (alternator, water pump, thermostat, thermostat housing, power steering pump, a/c compressor, etc.)
Short block including crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, oil pump/pan, timing, etc. -- $500
