I bought this centrifuge from a university thinking I would use it to refine (clean-up) waste vegetable oil (WVO) so that I could burn it in my diesel Mercedes. A centrifuge will remove solids and moisture from the oil. I am no longer running my car on veggie oil, so this thing is just taking up space. I don't even know if it works, as I don't have a 220V outlet available, but I have no reason to believe it doesn't. It could really be a great asset to someone processing WVO. These things run well into the thousands of dollars (from what I've searched, $4000- $6000). Pick this one up CHEAP and experiment with it. Its very heavy, and about the size of a washing machine, so will require manpower to load into a truck. This unit does not include a bowl, so one will have to be fabricated.
