For sale: 1987 Mercedes 300 Diesel Turbo

The good:
-167 500 mile 6-cylinder engine (603 same as in 300SD plenty of parts) but rare to find in smaller (124/E class) chassis.
-Recent minor tune-up (oil and engine filter air filter both fuel filter steering fluid filter all fuses). All replaced with OEM German parts.
-Starter rebuilt last year my Hutcherson Alternator & Starters in Tampa
-A/C checked serviced and Freon replaced in August. System is running on 132 now and it is COLD.
-Replaced HVAC control unit.
-Refurbished wood veneer.
- Aftermarket Nakamichi cd player

The bad:
- Transmission shifts great but it is jerky from time to time due to vacuum leak. It does NOT slip at all.
- Front right and back left windows do not move.
- Front suspension could use new bushings (driver side squeaks) and there is minor play in the steering.
- There are minor oil leaks here and there not uncommon for the older car.
- Vacuum for dash vents controls does not work anymore
-Driver's seat works fine but the memory doesn't work anymore. Passenger side moves but does not recline.
-Sunroof slides but it refuses to tilt out (factory seal is fairly cracked and causes it to stick)
-Oil pressure sensor is finicky it leaks a little bit and it will flicker on its own from time to time. Actual oil pressure is always good.
-One of ABS sensors is dirty and it will cause ABS light to come on/off
- Driver's door lock tumbler is getting very picky about the key. I have replacement tumbler.


Overall it is a solid car. I have used it as a daily driver until GF bought anew Honda Fit so I do not want to tag and insure 3 cars. It gets ~ 400 miles per tank (27-29 mpg). Not fast but it has no problem keeping with traffic. Parts are VERY easy to find plenty of online vendors. It is not a showroom car but good dependable daily driver that is easy to maintain. I have a used starter front brake pads set of front MB rubber and carpet mats and couple shifter veneer consoles that will go with the car.

Absolutely mint condition 85 500 SEL Mercedes. Silver with navy blue interior. All working heated seats front and rear power windows rear reclining seat working sun roof etc.
This prestegious auto was purchased and owned for for 26 year by local Tampa couple and lovingly kept. I purchased directly from window last year.
Can't say enough about how beautiful this car is. Leather looks new. Back seat never used and front seat have been covered for 26 years with custom sheep skins.
Engine looks and runs perfect. Reverse gear was acting up so I had transmission rebuilt when I purchased it last year. Has only 120 000 miles and as you know Mercedes are good for over 300 000 miles if take care of.
These pictures do not lie. This car looks as good as it looks here. Come see it and you will be impressed.
Has been garage kept it's entire life as well as here with me. That is very evident in condition of paint and interior. Great tires and ready to travel around the country of you want to go in style.

I recently bought a motor from Triangle Performance in North Carolina with 95k and tried installing it myself myself. The problem it has is to stay running but I never had it looked at. Cylinders all have compression. I just recently started school and I cant afford and dont have the time to be messing with it. Beautiful 2006 BMW 325i with 55 000 miles (although the car looks and drives like it is brand new). Automatic transmission. Power everything. Sunroof. Heated seats. Rain sensing wipers. Black leather interior.

The vehicle is in average to good condition for its age.
