92 Talon TSi AWD. Sony CD player, Pioneer or Kenwood speakers (can't remember), moonroof, power locks, power windows, power steering. Fun car. Does great in snow/ice. Pretty quick. Capable of running in the 12s. Has pulled on SRT-4s, Evos, STIs, S2000s, turbo Civics etc. (not all but definitely some). This car could be pushed much further with a proper tune but the chip is all I really needed for DD purposes. Looking for $3500obo or trade plus cash (civic, integra, etc). Car has all new genuine Mitsubishi timing belt, timing components, and new waterpump done in June at 147k miles. Car has almost 153K miles. When I had the motor out it appeared to have been rebuilt at some point because all the freeze caps look new. Transmission was built by http://www.englishracing.net 20k miles ago. ACT clutch and flywheel were done last month at 147k. New Genuine Mitsubishi O2 sensor.

Bad stuff:
-The ABS light is on but the regular brakes still work great.
-Has a kinda spontaneous idle sometimes.
-Has a minor oil leak from the return line from the turbo (like most DSMs).

-Revised lifters (does not have annoying tick like most DSMs)

1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Turbo AWD

 

I purchased this car in nearly stock condition with the intention of doing some performance modifications. I wanted to make sure that all the maintenance was completed and parts were replaced with quality OEM or aftermarket parts to support 400+ wheel horsepower. As it sits now, it is still basically stock with the addition of a boost gauge,manual boost controller, blow off valve, and running stock boost (10PSI)

Replaced / Upgraded:

Transmission fully rebuilt by Pina Motorsports last year

Replaced head with one with 89K miles. Resurfaced head, new valve stem seals, lapped valves

New OEM head gasket with ARP headstuds & new 3G lifters

All new top end gaskets

Rebuilt Turbo

Rebuilt throttle body

Timing components: Timing belt, balance shaft belt, Timing belt tensioner, all new idlers.

New (not rebuilt) water pump

New accessory belts

New poly motor mounts

New radiator

New carrier bearings and U joints

Replaced coolant, trans, transfer case, and differential fluid

New Battery

New injector O rings (top, bottom, and sheet)

Spark Plugs, Fuel filter, 02 sensor

Tires are in great shape with 8K miles on them

 

Car runs and drives great and pulls strong even at stock boost. Has factory limited slip differential. AC, Cruise control, power everything and it all works. Stock CD Player. Interior is in great shape with no tears to the seats. Headliner is sagging.

Exterior is fairly straight with dings expected on a car of its age. Clear coat is peeling in some areas. Has an oil leak that appears to be coming from the oil pan area. Transfer case makes some noise on deceleration. Used transfer cases can be had for $150 or rebuild kit for less if you are handy, but the noise has been there for awhile and is perfectly drivable. Compression at last check was 150 across.

I have put quite a bit of money restoring this car to be reliable and fast. I have thousands of dollars in receipts! All the hard work is done and ready for you to take it to whatever level you like. Other priorities have come up and my life, and now I must sell the car.

Hey C'List, I have a 2k1 Civic LX with a D17 FS or FT. It is a reliable ride but I am looking for another potential project. The kind of car I am looking for is a 2002 RSX, but am interested in seeing any offers 1999 and up. The car drives great and has only a minor issue which is a crack in the exhaust manifold. The odometer reads 193k but the newer motor only has 73k. Civic has a short shift converstion done to it so the torque is great. The car is currently flat black. It has red highlights on the interior and is currently on clean Momo 17" wheels with absolutely no curbing and nice tires. The AC blows cold :D, heater works great, few extra gauges, JVC stereo.What else.....your car has to run and I will get a diagnostic done on it so I don't get the short end of the stick.

I recently acquired a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo - project - needs some minor electrical work. It runs and looks great. This would be a great turbo project car for any generation. It has a manual transmission but really easy to use and is a fun car to drive. The cars interior has been removed in order to replace the wiring harness, but all parts have been stored and ready to reinstall. I really just want to get rid of this great car because it takes up to much space and i don't need it any more.

also other issues, but great engine and turbo is great, never had any problems, and some other work has been done some small body repair needed. windshield is cracked. I'm told it is worth about $4000 due to the valuable engine and parts, it has aftermarket rims and tires and a alot of parts in it.
open to trade, though not interested so much in another vehicle. I collect old coins, old baseball cards, antiques/collectibles, etc.
