I am selling my Chrylser LHS. The Chrysler LHS was Chrysler's flagship in the mid to late 90's. This Car only has slightly over 81000 miles and it runs drives and rides wonderfully. I bought it about 4 or 5 months ago and completed about 3 thousand dollars in work to it because I was going to use it for work. I drive upwards of 5000 miles a month so before I was going to set out in it I wanted to make sure that I was not going to have any problems. However I just found out that the company that I work for is going to provide a car for me this year so I do not have a need for it now.
The work that has been done is as follows:
New subframe bushings which are better than stock this alone costs about $1000.
The transmission has been completely serviced and checked; this includes a transmission fluid exchange as well as a new transmission pan gasket and internal transmission filter
The coolant system has been flushed and new coolant added
New (again better than factory) inner tire rod bushings
4 wheel alignment drives straight with ease
Engine flush also known as engine cleaner (gets rid of the carbon build up that eventually causes an engine to fail) done 2 weeks ago there might have been 100 miles put on it since then.)
Of course this was followed by an oil and filter change.
A new passenger side CV axle about the drivers side has been inspected and is good. It should last indefinatly.
A new set of Bosh EVO windshield wipers which were about $45 (I hate cheap windshield wipers I want to be able to see when it rains)
The A/C has been inspected and is flawless I promise it will freeze you out if you want it to.
I also had a reconditioned Transmission Control Module installed because I had done some reading and in the Texas heat accompanied with heavy use in the middle of the day; as I would have been using it can fail after a few years and I did not want to have to worry about it.
The car has a good set of Goodyear tires that have somewhere around 50 or 60 percent tread.
Earlier today I had the state inspection done so all is working as it should and you do not need to worry about having it inspected until next Febuary.
There is most likely some things I have done that I forgot but this car has been inspected extensivly and checks out all the way around. I can not imagion that you would find a better riding and more reliable used car for under $8000. I would keep it but with my job getting me a car and the fact that I am foutunate enough to have a weekend sports car I do not want the car sitting at my house not getting driven. I am very aware that a car that sits begins to degrade after a couple of months.
This is a large confortable car. I am 6'2" about 260 and my best friend is 6' something about 250 and both of us can ride in the back seat confortably.
As for the equipment on the car:
3.5 V6
Leather
Dual power seats
Homelink (built in garage door opener)
Factory Infinity stereo system
Power windows and door locks
Automatic tempreture control system (for those who are unfamilar with this it is just like a thermostat in your house. You set it to the desire tempreture and it does the rest)
Keyless entry with control of truck latch
The few flaws that this car does have are minor.
There are some small dents (most people would not see but I am picky)
There are a few small scratches
The drivers seat shows some minor ware from getting in and out
The inside door handle on the passenger rear door does not work I was going to fix this but I was told that most people are not going to care. People are always telling me that I am too picky about my cars. I understand that some flaws are expected by most people but I like everything to work. I guess that for the cost of this car and the condition of the rest of the car this is extemely minor.
Oh and I ran an Auto Check on the car before I bought it and according to auto check it is above average. AutoCheck is the same type of report as CARFAX but it seems to be more accurate.
Over all this is a great car with low miles that you should be able to get in and drive and not worry about.
I have used Craigslist in the past and while I appricate everyone's intrest I am not looking to trade for anything and I will not take a personal check or hold the vehical. These things have caused me issues that I would rather avoid with this car. Kelly Blue Book states that the value of the car is $5131.00 but I understand that they are not buying it. I have priced the car based on the car to sale quickly and fairly; so please do not try to low ball me. This car is worth what I am asking plus some and I am not trying to get rich infact if I were to pull all of the reciets and add up what I have spent on it I would most likely not like the out come.
The best way to reach me is by email. I check it several times a day and I will get back to you quickly. I can provide more pictures if you need them but if you are at all interested you should come take a look at the car.
This is a 1997 Chysler LHS and I guess I should mention that it leaks nothing.
Thank you for your time
Manuel
I am not listing my phone number because I do not want to be contacted by all of the companies that use Craigslist for prospecting. If you are interested simply email me and I will give it to you.
