Up for sale is a 1992 toyota corolla sedan with very low miles. I am the second owner, I bought the car from an elderly woman with 68k it now has almost 74k and it is driven daily. Since I've owned it I put in a brand new starter and a oil pressure sending switch also a remote kenwood cd player. I have the owners manuals and the original window sticker from when the car was new. The car has the 1.6 ltr. engine with ac, it has the manual roll down windows and it is an automatic transmission. This car will get many many more miles. The body had a few surface spots but they were taken care of with rust remover and touched up with matching paint but otherwise the body is in excellent shape. I am asking $2,500. I have title in had ready to go. I may consider partial trades if you have a 55" lcd in good working condition, I am not interested in dlp or projection it must be lcd flatscreen. This is a very nice 1980 TR7 5 speed roadster with a rebuilt engine and many performance upgrades. The engine was professionally rebuilt less than 4500 miles ago, bored .020 over, crank cut .010/.010, new oil and water pumps, 3 angle valve job, block and head faced, ARP head studs (to prevent head gasket failure, a known problem with TR7s),etc, etc. The clutch was replaced at the same time and the cluth hydraulics were rebuilt. It has a dual downdraught weber dgv conversion, header, pacesetter exhaust, and crane xr700 electronic ignition. With the performance upgrades this car is at least as quick as a stock TR8, but gets 30mpg at a steady 80mph on the highway! The top was replaced 3 years ago and is still very nice. The paint is a fair 20 foot respray with some chips and garage rash - OK for a daily driver but would need to be repainted to be show quality. The body is straight and mostly rust free with a few bubbles starting to show just behind the rear wheel arches. The blue interior is in very good condition with the exception of the seats. The passenger's seat bottom has a split seam and the driver's seatback has one bolster worn through. The carpet looks new and all of the interior panels and dash are quite nice and original. I also replaced the window seals and the bushings between the gearbox and the shifter housing. All of the electricals work - lights, horn, heater fan!! This car runs and drives beautifully and if I don't sell it I won't mind driving it all summer!
If you expect a concours winning show queen with better reliablity than a Toyota Corolla for this price, don't bother contacting me. But, if you want a cool car that is fun, confortable, as reliable as any British car ever and you won't ever see coming the other way as your diving it, come see this and make me a reasonable offer!
The car is located in Bristol, Rhode Island and is registered and insured as an antique. Rhode Island doesn't require a title for cars over 10 years old and does not issue them for these cars. Therefore, it is sold with a bill of sale and a copy of my registration and insurance which should be enough to get a title issued in states that require them (like Mass.). The NADA Guide average retail for this car is $7,750. It has had more spent on it in parts than my asking price. The TR7 is totally undervalued in this country. It is a thoughly modern car with a ride that is better than any British sports car I've driven this side of a Jaguar. My wife likes it better than my MGA, MGB or Spitfire. I wish I could keep the car myself, but I just bought a new car and cannot afford two, nor do I have the room for both vehicles in my driveway. This Supra has 213K miles on it however, the engine that’s in it now has around 100K miles on it. As I said the car is now an antique, and with a little tender love and care, and some money put into it, it could become a great collectible. The car is mechanically sound and runs great. The body is in fair condition, although it could use a new paint job and some body work in some areas. All the car needs to my knowledge are front tires and brakes, then its good to go. The car is a 5 speed, with a straight/inline 6 engine that is surprisingly good on gas (7MGE model I believe). The car has spare rims, a new catalytic convertor, a new radiator, new rear tires, a new gas tank, a new stock exhaust, and a new battery among many other parts I either have for the car, or have put into the car. I have the original owner’s manual for the car, as well as a comprehensive repair/installation manual I bought for it. I will throw in a tono cover for it, as well as a like new HKS performance racing exhaust, that runs for up to $1,000, and sounds great. I’m looking for $2,000 obo for the car (price is negotiable).
