GIAC performance ecm upgrade. 30 more horsepower and 60 ft lbs of torque, All while getting 30 mpg
I am the second owner. And I have all service records for the car since it went out of warranty at 40k miles. I put a new OEM clutch in it at 155000.
I also have a set of snow tires to come along with the car.
There are only a couple of bad things with the car. The leather of the drivers seat is cracked. Also the windshield needs replaced, it has a crack in it. It goes across the bottom of the windshield and does not obstruct your view. Finally there is some cosmetic damage to left rear fender. It isn't too bad and is repairable. I put pictures of the damage below. The interior is perfect aside from the drivers seat.
It has been a great car with no problems. I am selling it so I can get a truck which I have come to need.
Willing to trade for a mkIII Jetta VR6 and some cash or a diesel truck.

Have the original window sticker for this car, in 88' the sell price was $38k!
Power window, locks, A/C (Needs charged) heated seat, ski boot.
Super fun to drive, gets great gas mileage. Needs a few fixes or some constant maintenance. Power steering fluid has a slow leak, possibly in the rack, rack needs replace or you'll have to refill the reservoir weekly. Doesn't smoke. Odometer broken, mileage unknown, but have extensive service records.
New clutch, rebuilt transmission.
Black leather interior needs some TLC, some seems have split, otherwise no tears.
Pearl white exterior in really good shape.

Here's the downside: the speedometer stopped working about 2 months ago when it had 50K ACTUAL miles on it (this car sat in a grandma's garage for years). Rust is the biggest con... it has rust but has been all covered so it wont get worse but thats my biggest dislike for the vehicle.

The truck runs drives and starts everytime with no problems at all. All the fluid in it is new and the motor really gets up and goes when it needs to.
I really dont want to sell the vehicle but I need a DD more than this toy at this time. This is my third cruiser and it easily the best off-road one I have owned. With that said I would trade the cruiser for a DD, my options are open to a lot the worst I will say is no if I dont like the offer so its worth trying an offer. Im mainly looking for a VW, Audi or European car and also maybe a truck and it needs to be 4wheel drive. The most specific I could get is a Mk1 Jetta coupe, VR6 or 1.8T VW or an Audi S4 and can add money on top of offers, with that said the price is 5500 OBO.
