I have a 97 Toyota camry w/ a 4 cylinder 2.2. automatic. Inspected until 04/11. The engine is completely rebuilt and yes i have reciepts for every part. NEW crank beariings, rod bearings. wrist pins, rods rings, mains, oil pump, water pump, timing belt, and tensioner. Complete rebuilt head. EVERYTHING in the head is new..... all gaskets new. every internal bolt, nut and screw is brand new!! Nothing has been reused!! The transmision just flushed and cleaned. New tires, struts, & front brakes. Possibly 3 dents on the body & also 3 lil rust spots NO HOLES just waxed as well. interior is about perfect no rips tears. Never smoked in. Garage kept since new. All things that went wrong were maintenance related.
General comments?

This car is great on gas and handles well.

The 1.8L motor is perfectly adequate.

The trim is tasteful, but relatively cheap. Although if you look at other comparable cars in 1991, like the Honda Civic or Toyota Tercel, it is comfortable.

The parts availability is great. Volkswagen
has used the same base motor since the '70s. Very many parts are interchangeable between years.

Rare & classic 1974 Toyota HiLux longbed pickup-- $2500/offer or trade for a 4-cylinder front wheel drive car.

The truck is very clean for it's age (36 years!) and easily passed state inspection. This car was in northern Florida for most of its life. The frame is clean, the body is solid and straight (except for some minor dings). Therte are just two rust spots, on one bed side, the size of a dime. The paint would appreciate a couple hours with a buffer (I removed some tape stripes and you can see where the paint faded). The odometer says 47000 miles but true miles is unknown.

The truck originally came equipped with a 1.8 liter engine and a 4-speed tranny. Last summer I purchased a 1980 2.2 liter engine and 5-spd out of a Celica with supposedly only 60,000 miles and swapped them in. Before I installed the engine I removed the head and cleaned out all the carbon deposits, installed a new water pump plus replaced all the gaskets on/in the engine, and gave it a paint job. I also installed a new clutch, pressure plate & throw-out bearing. The engine starts right away and runs well. The distributor has been upgraded to electronic ignition.

I was planning on doing an old-school look with this, so I bought a set of vintage aluminum slot wheels (and installed new tires) and installed an AMC Gremlin side mirror. Other new parts include master cylinder and fuel pump.

The interior is okay-- I installed a 1990 bench seat with cloth upholstery. The door panels are old but in good shape. I tore out the worn carpet, so the floor is just rubber mats. Currently there isn't a radio in the truck.

Selling a white 1993 Toyota Celica GT. Car is in, what i would call, fair condition as described on Kelley Blue Book's guide:

-Some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition.
-Clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional.
-There may be some repairable rust damage.

180,000 miles on the odometer but the engine has actually been replaced with one from a used Toyota Camry and only has 85-90,000 miles on it. Main problems that need to be addressed include new fuel lines, a new gas tank, new parking brake cables, and a hinge in the hatch that has rusted and will need to be fixed.

Inspection is not up-to-date and the above problems will need to be remedied for it to pass but the emissions is good through 10/10.

KBB values the car at $2,140 in fair condition and I'm asking nearly $1000 less to allow for repairs. KBB appraisal includes features such as AC (which needs recharged), power steering, power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, cruise (disconnected since the installation of new engine), and single CD player.

Sporty car that would be a nice find for a high school/college kid w/ some mechanical background looking for a decent ride.

Just dropped a grand off the price tag, not really too negotiable any more unless you have a trade (don't waste our time with rusty junk). But I have a toyota pickup 4x2 with 60k original miles. It really is in good condition for the year, one of the best around. There are alot of extras you can have with it. If you are looking for something reliable then this is it. The frame looks really good, minimal body rust. It has the 22r engine (2.4L 4 cylinder) with the 4 speed transmission. This IS the base model, very simple truck. If you are interested in trading let me know, I'm looking for a full sized lifted truck with minimal rust.

I am selling my 1990 Toyota pickup with 60,000 original miles. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with this truck. The worst part is the previous owner dented the front bumper, if it is a selling point I will buy a new bumper and valence. If you do your research you will see these engines last forever. Now sorry for getting somewhat carried away with that...more about this truck. It is a two door regular cab short bed. Again, it does have the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine with a 4 speed manual transmission (shifts PERFECTLY). The tires are in great shape, will last quite a while. We also have two sets of rims for this truck. A sliding rear window is installed but I also have a solid rear window (in perfect condition). I installed a cloth bench seat but also have the stock vinyl bench if you would like. The vinyl floor is still in the truck but I also have carpet flooring if you want. There is also a stainless exhaust (tubing and muffler) from the cat back. Has a nice tone to it. I have NEVER had an issue with this truck. The rust is extremely minimal (essentially none on the body-and the best looking frame you will find on this model truck in this state). The reason I am selling is because I just want something bigger. This truck has NEVER been off roaded or abused in any way, I used it to haul a lawnmower to cut grass and sometimes a 200 pound dirtbike to the track. You will have zero problems with this truck for a long time. We can negotiate with this as well.
