For sale is a 1975 Bricklin SV1 in Safety Orange. The SV1 stands for safety vehicle 1. The concept came from Malcolm Bricklin; his vision was to create a safe sports car that could compete with the corvette. However due to Bricklin's lack of experience in the auto industry coupled with the funding problems the Bricklin factory was not able to produce vehicles fast enough to make a profit. As a result only 2854 cars were built.
This Bricklin is number 2301 in Safety Orange with 42 000 miles on it. I bought this car about 2 years ago and have been restoring it ever since. The car starts and runs great with a 351 Ford Windsor and an upgraded 4 speed AOD transmission. I have put a lot of work into this car to make it look presentable and run good. I've installed a new carpet kit and insulation upgraded the doors to a pneumatic air system upgraded the headlights to a pneumatic air system had LoJack installed new windshield new tires new Bricklin wheel centers new seals new outer moldings new hoses new belts new battery new wiring new distributor cap new spark plugs gas tank cleaned and resealed new sending unit rebuilt carburetor new starter new shocks new stainless steel exhaust from manifolds back and much much more.

This is a great exciting car that attracts attention everywhere it goes! Just imagine yourself pulling up to the local car show with all the stares and comments you get because everyone is so interested in this awesome looking automobile. Then imagine yourself emerging from the vehicle as the air doors open with a whoosh and then close again all with the touch of a button. This is truly a fun car that I don't want to give up but I have run out of time to work on it. Please come see this amazing vehicle for yourself and take it for a drive.
