Up for sale is my Mother's meticulously-maintained 2002 Jaguar X-type (2.5 Liter All-Wheel-Drive)
Silver Gray exterior black leather with wood accents and approximately 74 500 miles.
As mentioned this car belongs to my mother and as such it was barely driven beyond the usual few miles it takes for her to run a few errands. Most of the miles on this car were accumulated on highway trips to visit friends/family.
The car was purchased from a Jaguar Dealer in 2004 with 10 000 miles on it. From what we were told it was returned to the dealer because it didn't conform to the warranty (noted on the title). We spoke to the dealer who at the time told us that the return was due to a faulty service light triggered by a bad sensor. The Jaguar dealer STILL GAVE US A 6 YEAR WARRANTY which has now expired. That of course was 7 years and 6x xxx miles ago and we have not had any serious issues with the car.
The car is in great shape -- we are great about maintaining all our cars and because this particular car belonged to our mother we were extra careful about maintaining the car. The following (at least) has been done to the car within the last two years:
1.Four tires
2. Regular synthetic oil changes with hand washes
3. Leather conditioning of interior.
4. full- tune up including:
Platinum Spark plugs
K&N Air filter
Antifreeze drain and replace
Power steering fluid
Brake fluid bled and replaced
Brake Pads and Brake Rotors all around
Power Steering was serviced
Front door mechanism serviced
Fuel filter
5. Transfer case replaced rear differential transmission and front differentials were inspected fluids were drained and replaced with Amsoil brand fluid.
6. The belts were changed.
7. Shocks Struts Springs and A-Arms.
8. CV and ball Joints replaced
9. Headlight bulbs replaced.
The car was received with a factory cassette player and decent speakers. We replaced the original speakers with Sony speakers added two more behind the back seat and installed a Pioneer amp and a Pioneer 6 CD changer. We custom-installed controls for the cd player in one of the change compartments. The system works well and some of the wiring to the speakers may have come loose - a minor fix.
The car has been adult driven and though it rarely saw poor weather (Mom doesn' drive in it) the car handles very well in the Snow/Rain.
That said the car isn't brand new and the interior and exterior show usual wear and tear with dings and scuffs that you are welcome to inspect in person before purchasing it. The Only dent worth noting is on the passenger's side rear door where mom had a minor run in with the poles that typically find themselves near gas pumps (Please see the picture).
The car was also involved in a minor collision in which the only thing which needed replacing was the front bumper. We have since driven the car with no issues- we just prefer to disclose ALL that we can.
The Car is described to the best of my abilities and though it has been meticulously maintained we encourage you to inspect it as it will be sold "as is" -- We are selling it because Mom has finally agreed to get into something newer.
We are accepting payments by bank check cash in person but NO PAYPAL.
