This is a real find!!! It was stored for 10 yrs. It was a two owner car and have paperwork to prove milage. All fluids have been changed and now it just needs to be driven. I have put more than 400 miles on it and it doesnt leak a drop. I have been using it as a daily driver. I purchased it for my nephew thinking he will be getting a nice looking reliable good gas milage car but it was not a sports car and he didnt want it. The exterior is in super shape and the interior in like NEW! It is amazing the condition of this car. Even the trunk looks like its never been used. In my opinion this car has barely been broke in. I would think a person would get another 100 000 miles out of it easily! The only thing I found that does not work on it is the cruise control. I personally would ut a set of tires on it as the ones that are on there probably are 15 yrs old. This is not a new car but it as close as you can get to one! Ive been driving on them but just to be safe. I am WAY below book on this so I am firm on this price. Please no scammers. Hello I have a 1996 mercury sable with 139 000 miles on the ford 3.0L v6 sohc..Very strong reliable motor that often go far above 200 000..this has been my moms car for the past 4 years.She retires in june and is going to buy a brand new car for herself.It has been a very good car.

Its the wagon model so its good for hauling stuff or for a work vehicle almost as much room as a pickup truck with alot better gas millage.also makes a great family car since there is so much room.seats five and it also has a rear facing seat that will sit two more has all the seatbelts.The cars interior is all grey clothe and clean not dirty or greasy no stains or burns!all power windows locks mirrors and power rear windshield wiper that all work perfect.body is very clean except for a little rust around the passenger rear wheel well very common place for these cars drivers side has none and this one is really clean compared to most you see.No Big dents or scratches very minor stuff.

Has had about $4000.00 worth if work in the last 2 years.here's a list if some and I have some recites and your welcome to look for yourself.

-fuel pump(replaced last week!) -fuel lines/hoses! (replaced last week!) -internal fuel filter&strainer (replaced last week!) -external fuel filter(on line) (replaced last week!) -fuel pressure regulator (replaced last week!) -rear brake lines(replaced last week!) -new coils springs in the back(most of Taurus/sables are snapped in half!) -
alternator -tires -spark plugs&wires -egr selonoid -headlights tooken apart and cleaned buffed -Tabs good through May -Serpentine belt Sunday!

This is the nicest one on craigslist or anywhere for the price..

Has a bad abs sensor witch probably just needs to be cleaned will try to replace that before it sells.(abs still works perfect)

I have a white Mercury cougar up for sale for parts or a beater car. It's nothing pretty but it will get you where you need to go. Engine and transmission are strong lights work working radio working power windows (drivers side goes down and up a little slow).

Cons:
-Passengers side doesn't have a key lock but I keep it locked from the inside so it's secure.
-Have to lock drivers side from the inside- it's as easy as pushing the lock down.
-It does have a huge dent behind the drivers side door which affected the key lock but it's still lockable just not pretty. Doesn't affect the drivability of the car at all.
-The seats are torn from the previous owner so I used car seat covers to cover it up. Doesn't look so bad with Ed Hardy seat covers ;)
-Headlight glass is broken but the lights still work fine!
-There is a crack in the windshield that is only surface crack. It looks a lot worse than it is. You can't feel it from the inside.
-The breaks only just started to fade yesterday on my way home from work. You might want to get those fixed which is why I listed this car as a parts car as well.

There isn't anything else that I have found to be a major issue with this car. The previous owner was a smoker and when I bought this car it smelled HORRIBLY of smoke. I have managed to get the smell out by having the windows cracked all the time febreezing the car and buying cute hibiscus flower car fresheners. This may or may not be an issue for some people so I had to include that.

Ohh yes and it does need current tabs. I have the title from the previous owner which I haven't transferred into my name so that's all you'll have to do.

Please do not call me offering 300 why would I give you a perfectly working car for 300? The engine alone is worth more than that. the only major defects of this car are cosmetic.

2002 Mercury Mountaineer 160 500 V8 4.6 liter automatic with all wheel drive power everything leather interior heated seats multi-disc factory CD player third row seating sun roof tinted glass roof rack towing package wide tires. Rear end has been rebuilt in the last year including coils brakes rotors ball joints. I've driven the vehicle for a little over a year no engine problems. rear end is the only issues i've had but has been fine ever since the repairs. There is rust over the rear wheel well which should be repaired before it spreads further. I generally get 16mpg driving around town 20-22mpg on longer trips. KBB lists the value at $6 700 in good condition $7 160 in excellent condition. I would say it is closer to good condition than excellent. Handles great in snow. (612)220-1528 Make an offer
