It has 62,635 miles. It needs the head gaskets replaced. I bought this car in 2003. It was in an accident before I got it... and it was salvaged, but the air bags were never replaced. ( I don't like air bags, so I was happy to find a car that didn't have them.) In 2008 the car overheated and the engine shut off and wouldn't start until it cooled down. (The engine shuts off automatically when it gets too hot.) This and the fact that I wasn't far from home made me think that the head gaskets would survive the drive home. I waited maybe 20 minutes, put water in the cooling reservoir and then started it and drove maybe a half mile or so and it shut off again. I had to repeat this a few times before I got home. (It was dark and I didn't see the obvious big hole in the radiator hose - a hole that I should have looked for) The next day, after I replaced the hose and filled the radiator with water, I checked the oil and it had no water mixed in it. The engine started right up and seemed fine as I turned the car around in my parking area. Just as I was getting ready to pull the car out of the driveway, steam began coming out the exhaust . Then it stalled. After the engine stalled, I checked the oil again, and found that now there was water in it. Has been sitting ever since, waiting for me to have the money to fix it. I haven't been able to save up any money to fix it, so now I'm just going to put it on the market. I love this car and would still rather fix it, but I have to do something. (SE model has V6, automatic transmission, very comfortable leather seats with memory, etc)

I am selling my beautiful 2002 Saab Aero. Yes, it's not a brand new car, but it truly is a BRAND NEW ENGINE. Saab took responsibility for a flaw in the original handling of the engine and agreed to replace the ENTIRE engine with a brand new one. Additionally I paid extra to have the car fitted with NEW FRONT BRAKES, NEW RADIATOR HOSES, BUSHINGS, ENGINE OIL SWITCH, BATTERY and HID bulbs. The engine came with components so you also have a NEW WATER PUMP, MOUNT and ALTERNATOR among others. This is the top of the line AERO model so it's a true sports sedan (V6). The exterior has a few cosmetic imperfections, but no major damage as you can see. What's more, Saab has provided the new engine with a WARRANTY so it's truly like having the brand new car experience with respect to engine issues. The car only has 55,600 miles on it (the new engine has about 650) so the wear and tear is low for a car of this age. I have all of the paperwork to verify the amount of work I've done to the car, as well as all of the paperwork from the life of the car. It comes fully loaded with leather seats, automatic transmission, sunroof, 6 cd changer, Onstar, and back-up (parking) sensor. This is a great opportunity to own a (now) worry free Saab. Red 900 SE 2.0 turbo 1997. 111,735 miles, all power, leather, moon roof, 6 disc CD player in trunk. This is a great car! I have had my mechanic check it regularly, so I can fix things before they break. I have had a lot of work done to it this year. The pictures show the car and a few scrapes.
