1968 El Camino (NON SS)[NOT SALVAGE] with ORIGINAL and rare tailgate year matching *non reverse lighted tailgate* (reverse lights on the bumper which is also original) it HAD a 307 with a TH 250 (2 Speed) NOW has a 350 with a TH 350 (engine VERY well taken care of also the tranny changed fluids frequently) (Motor has headers new exhaust Flowmaster Super 10s which sound beautiful and do not drone) 3 speed auto with shift kit chirps from 1st to second due to tq from strong motor higher gears since engine and tranny is from a truck (3.73 or 3.93) I am not too sure HAS A NEW ALUMINUM RADIATOR with DUAL ELECTRIC FANS NEVER OVERHEATS and (MORE POWER) fans move lots of cfm very quickly to cool the car down has the thermostat relay for automatic cooling. Radiator is brand new has maybe less than 50 miles it is very blue!! nice deep metallic candy blue (washed and waxed weekly) with NEW blue interior with a ipod radio cd player has power steering NO A/C upgraded to POWER brakes disc in the front and drum rears *originally did not come with it* *the person before really liked blue* but its a tasteful blue... Paint = 8.9/10 Interior = 9/10 Mechanically 10/10 THIS IS NOT A SHOWCAR but a very clean cruiser...

The good: smog current tags( till next June) nice paint and detailed had mechanic work on the car to make sure everything was working properly clean title pink in hand.
The needs work: passenger window doesn't work ( I looked inside panel and it looks like the switch is not connected but don't want to deal with it same thing with door locks owner before me replaced driver window and left pieces of broken glass inside door( nothing a vacuum couldn't handle) needs speedometer cable. I can't think of more but you are welcome to ask.
Must see the car I am looking to sell because I want to get some work done on my house. Asking $2 500 but always welcome to make a reasonable offer - text me for more pictures.
Have to set up appt to see i can't afford insurance so the car has been sitting for a couple of months and battery might need a charge.

For sale is my 1962 Buick Electra 225 Convertible. I've owned the car since 1999 and is an original Colorado car but is now registered and titled in California.The title is clean of course. The engine is the 401 nailhead that has been completely rebuilt. Cylinders were bored .040 over stock so net diplacement is about 408 cubic inches. Engine rebuild included new pistions seals valves reground crank RV camshaft rings etc. Carter AFB carburator has been recently rebuilt as well.

These cars came with a dynaflow 2 speed transmission--I didn't care for it so I installed a Rebuilt TH400 transmission from a 1965 Buick GS. This transmission WAS the switch pitch (has boot print in the pan) but was changed out to a fixed torque converter long ago. As a result of swiching out the transmisssion to the TH400 I had the driveshaft cut and balanced flexplate recut and balanced custom pilot bushing to mate tourqe converter to crank shaft.

Other mechanical work that has been performed are new front and rear bearings rebuilt brake master cylinder power steering lines wheel cylinders brake lines one wire alternator conversion radiator recored. I also have a set of brand new front 2 in drop springs that have yet to be installed. Tires have about one mile on them. (Bought 5 years ago)

Recent body work is/are as follows: Media blast and sand blast entire exterior of vehicle fresh coat of EPOXY based primer--so body work can be started right on top of epoxy. Most of the bright work has been removed. Both front and rear bumpers have been straightened and rechromed! All the glass is good.

Body work Required : Exterior body work to be finished rear floor pans under the seat floor pans inner rocker panels small rust hole(s) in trunk. Other than that the body is fairly clean. The seats were rotten when I bought the car in 1999 so I bought a good front seat and started the seat backs--I'm not very happy with it but you can see what It'll look like. But the seats are power and the seat transmission still works.

Mechanical Work Required: The transmission cross member(mount) was made by your's truly and I've never claimed to be a welder so it'll need some "adjustments." Additionally the front end bushings are a little sloppy so they could be replaced as well.

Interior Work Required: Seats re-upholstered carpet door panels dash board recover convertible top top pump and cylinders. Convertible top frame is in good shape though.

This car came originally with power leather seats power windows wonderbar radio power antenna and was top of the line (soory no factory AC). I have a spare grill spare headlamp bezels and 1952 Buick hubcaps (very cool) I was going to make a very mild custom but I basically lost interest. I have all the stainless trim and its all in pretty good shape. The only trim that is missing from the car is the rear quarter panel trim plate (L side) and the electra 225 letters from the lower rear quarter panels.

This will be beautiful when finished and I hope someone will love this car as I have. I've tried to as honest as possible about everything but if you have any questions please send me an email or call 619-808-9179

Car is in good shape runs great and has been garage stored. No accidents these are something of a collectible now because they were limited editions. Solid economy car with today's gas prices. I'll try to be as specific as possible. Black exterior grey leather interior. No dents paint isn't perfect but no rust. 126 100 miles. Hard top 2 door this is a Michigan registered car. The car has some superficial interior flaws--passenger side window is missing and the glove box and the interior back storage hatch have broken locks. The radio and a/c is operated with a digital feature which needs adjusting. This was new technology at the time so the radio and a/c work fine the control itself is tempramental. We didn't want to bother spending money on these repairs as they didn't affect driving but if you want to they shouldn't come to very much.

I listed this car here previously but I have reduced the price. I have looked around for how much these cars are going for and I think this is fair. Feel free to do the same on Craigslist and elsewhere. This car would also make a perfect choice if you want to restore it to pristine condition or use it as a resource for parts. Title is clear no liens but NOT currently registered. If you do your basic trans-oil-power steering-brake fluid changes on schedule the car should last as long as you want it to. The interior is all done about 6 years ago new headliner carpet and seats cd player and had Sirius satellite radio in it till the subscription ran out but it can be updated. Just got a new carpet kit and tire cover for the trunk with a new wiring cover installed new billet running boards. Paint work is about 7 years old and needs touch up but what older car doesn't especially for a daily driver.

This '72 Volkswagen fires up every time and will never let you down very reliable and cheap and very easy to work on a million upgrades available and anything you can imagine doing to it you can. 31 601 original miles. This is that car you wish you could find. Original miles as Grandma drove to the store Moose lodge etc. lots of history to tell. Original service records from the beginning to the point of my dad getting it and pretty much sat on as he had another car for use. This car was garaged after use most of its life then stored on the side of my dads place in the mojave desert and started and ran to the store and a couple of trips to see his buddy in Joshua tree. Thats approx. 336 miles trip. Theres a tear on the seat. Rest of interior is fine. Body's straight no rust no body filler no accidents clean title. My Dad looked after the white Landau top and spokes and paint as best he could. Its blue with original spokes. Air conditioner is frosty.
