Mercedes Car and Trucks Sale by Owner in Kansas City

I have for sale a dark green 1998 Mercedes Benz C280. It has ~106k miles (it's my daily driver and will continue to rise) a V6 - 2.8L automatic transmission slip control ABS air conditioning power windows power locks power steering cruise Premium BOSE 5 CD stereo dual power seats leather sliding moon roof and alloy wheels.

I bought it last summer (with 89k miles) from a retired fella who barely drove it. I got it to get good gas mileage (gets up to 29-31 mpg on the interstate and can average ~24 mpg in town). It gets around great; it's comfortable and fun to drive. However I'm being transferred and the car isn't quite as practical (industrial power plant work I'm thinking of getting an S10 with low miles). Since I've had it I've put about 17k miles on it. I replaced the entire inner and outer tie-rod assembly put new tires on it and had it professionally aligned all at 94k miles. Since I've rotated the tires on the 5's (100k 105k 110k 115k...).

Now the nit-picking. I'm pretty particular about my vehicles (I wish it were clean in the pictures sorry) and I always try to give full disclosure. I noticed since I've had it that the rear differential has a slow seeping leak. I believe that this is the front pinion seal. I have been periodically refilling it with the proper fluid. The other thing that I noticed is that the engine seems to be going through about a qt of oil or so every 4k miles. I haven't really noticed any leaks (it's garage kept) so I assume it's usage. Another non-essential thing that bugs me is the driver mirror must have been broken/replaced because the electric motor does not move it.

Special Features of the car are: Presidential Package which includes the full Haartz Covered Cabriolet Top with the Presidential Emblems Touring Package Chrome Package and the Gold Package. The Haartz Cloth top looks as if it is new and I think it was professionally replaced right before we purchased the car. Not a cheap vinyl top Haartz Cloth is the best top you can put on a car. It is the material you see used on Mercedes BMW Lexus and other high-end convertibles. The windows have been tinted all the way around with Limo tint.

Since we have owned the car we have had plenty of work done to it and the receipts for the work and parts. The car has 4 new Ball-Joints Idler Arm Tie Rod Ends Newer Battery as of 2010 & Heater Core. The front end has been aligned twice within the last year. Tires are in great shape with at least 60% tread left on them.

Audio System: The complete sound/stereo system has been replaced and upgraded. The system consists of (1) Kenwood AM/FM/CD 200 watt receiver (1) remote control (2) 5x7'' Memphis Audio front door speakers (2) 6x9'' Memphis Audio rear speakers (1) sealed subwoofer box in the trunk with (2) 12'' Rockford Fosgate subwoofers powered by a Rockford Fosgate 300w (RMS) mono amp. The system was installed 2 years ago by Best Buy's mobile electronics and is still under (full replacement) warranty. The 5x7's and 6x9's were installed a few months later by Independence Audio and have a lifetime manufacturer's warranty (they are pretty much designed to never blow out). Independence Audio also tuned the system. This sound is clear and has the cleanest bass I have ever had in a vehicle. You must hear it to appreciate it. The car was driven infrequently and the system is like new and not over played and worn out. The stereo will do what you ask of it whether it be mild or wild!

The Car is in great mechanical condition and needs no major repairs. It does need a new ignition switch ($120 from local Ford Dealers.) Everything seems to work and work well. The paint is decent and very shiny with no wear spots through the clear coat. It is a 16 year old car with 114K miles on it and does show minimal - marginal wear and tear from a car of that age. Since we have had it it has always been kept in the garage. It is a 3rd car for us and is only used to go out on the town or when friends or family come to visit which explains the limited use of only racking up 5k miles in the last year and a half. If you are interested in owning a Very Classy Eye-Catching Beauty then this may be what you are looking for. The only reason we have decided to sell it is we have bought another car to take its place that will also serve us as a tow vehicle. With that being said we would really like to have the car find a good home and someone who appreciates one of Lincoln's finest automobiles.

I have an audi 2004 A8 L for sale.85 000 miles. I am dumping this car for more than $8000 below private party price. The car was vandalized but does not have a salvaged title. All the work needed on the car is cosmetic. The interior was not vandalized. There are small dings all over the car similar to hail damage. Needs front left headlight bulb.
