We have a 1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia for sale (bill of sale)
It runs and stops good enough in both cases to check the mail and chug around the neighborhood (35 mph max tested).
For those of you who aren't big on reading here is a photobucket album full of pictures other than just the ones you see at the bottom. There is a video of a trip around the neighborhood.

Now for those who don't mind reading I'll go over the car a bit. I feel it's best to be honest so this is what I know:
This was a junkyard car. The previous previous owner found it took it home and began the process of registering it as a "salvage" and fixing the reasons it was there in the first place.
Fast forward a few years and it's in the hands of the previous owner (my neighbor). He was a VW "collector" and didn't do much but let it sit under an oak tree.
A few more years and I saw it inquired about it and bought it.
Here is what I have done:
Body work
This thing was in the junkyard for a reason. I tried straightening it as much as possible and fixed the nose as straight as I could. I avoided using bondo and hammered what I could where I could but there's still filled parts. It is beyond my limited skill level to get this body any straighter. With that said the rear quarter panels are rusted through on the bottom as well as the tray below where the spare tire should be. One floor pan has a poor patch job. Both pans are rusty.
It is currently sitting in primer.
Engine
I got fed up and replaced the original engine with one I knew ran. They are the same type (1500sp) correct for the year. (Original engine is included as well)
Wiring
Rats. Everyone knows what that means. The wiring for the engine is good but some rats behind the dash wanted nesting material and chew toys so some of it was sacrificed resulting in some weird turn signals and misc things not working. Luckily it's in an easy-to-reach area. Unluckily I'm genetically horrible at wiring. I tried to avoid touching this.
Interior
I tore the interior out. I saved the pieces that were worth saving (door panels) but the floor bits and dash were completely unsalvageable. Removing the tar paper revealed rusty floor pans. I do have new vinyl seat kits. The passenger has been recovered but the padding on the driver's side needs redoing. The passenger is currently the drivers side. I have the vinyl for the driver's side. I also have the kit for the rear seat. I do not have a carpet kit.
The Good:
It runs/stops
It can easily be titled
I am including the Original Engine;
Original Oil Bath Air Filter;
Original muffler;
Original Carbon Canister;
lots of parts. (see pics. Everything pictured is included)
The front beam is untouched
Just about all the window trim is present (missing bottom trim for the doors)
The Bad:
The body will never be perfect (it won't be a show car)
Rust in usual places
Rusted through in usual places
No bumpers
*******If you would like anything photographed let me know. I will try to get a picture taken email it to you and add it to the album for everyone.*******
