I bought this Suzuki in Durango Colorado stock and rust free in 2004. The previous owner from Arizona primarily towed it behind his motorhome. The actual driven mileage was unknown but the odometer read 38 xxx.
Since owning it I have made major upgrades. This has been used as a daily driver since I've owned it yet I have tried to make it a trail capable rig. It has never been run on rated trails or competitions mostly just forest roads.
This rig is currently set up to run on propane only. This improves its off-angle operation and is a cleaner and cheaper fuel. Due to propane's limited availability in some areas this may not be for everyone; however by adding a gas tank fuel lines and a Weber carburetor it can be converted back to gasoline operation fairly easily.
Here is a list of the upgrades:
Aluminum Door Handles (Trail Tough).
Removable Doors and Quick Straps.
Diamond Plate Door and Side Panels (JT Outfitters).
Polyurethane Liner; on inner tub. (Durabak).
Propane Conversion Kit (GotPropane.com).
Re-useable Air Filter.
Exhaust Header (Calmini).
Steering Wheel; aftermarket (Grant).
Powdercoating (all door & side panels dash & all but 2 dash panels; bumper sliders).
Coil Spring suspension Lift w/ OTT Steering. (Rocky Road; installed by Avalanche Engineering).
Fender Flares. (Bushwacker).
Custom Plate Front Bumper (Shrockworks).
Rock Sliders (Shrockworks).
Aluminum Dash. (Petroworks).
GPS unit installed in dash - functions as speedometer and tripometer. (Garmin)
Sound Deadener throughout cab doors. (Dynamat)
Front Wheel Balancers (Centamatic).
Clicky Starter Fix (ZukiCreations).
Newer bucket seats with fold down armrests. (from an Astro van)
105 Amp Alternator (Petroworks).
New Gauges (GlowShift).
33 x 10.5 Mud Terrain KM2 (BF Goodrich). 12/32 tread remaining.
4.9 Transfer Case with Twisted TT shift pattern (Trail Tough).

The engine is stock except for the propane conversion. It runs well and has no leak issues. The transmission driveshafts axles and gears are stock. The body is straight with no major crushes only minor dings. No major rust rot only surface spots. The paint is faded and old. It will do highway speeds but is better around town. It gets approx. 18mpg. It requires no ignition key to start -- just a switch and a push button. Doors lock and have a key.
The only negatives in my mind are an undiagnosed harmonic vibration through the driveline ( I know it needs a new u-joint on the intermediate driveshaft). It's underpowered like all Samurai's. This Samurai is not for everyone and will appeal to a select few (you know who you are!) However if you're one of those few you will love this rig. Overall I have $13 000+ into it.
Pick up is the responsibility of the buyer. Easiest would be to flat tow it home.
Will entertain offers.
