This is a very nice extreemly low mileage 1989 Jaguar XJS convertible. I am listing it for an elderly couple that are friends of mine. It has been in garage storage for the last few years but is in great shape. It has only 69 100 miles on the 5.3L 263 hp V12 motor power windows power locks cruise power convertible top i have many more pictures I can email. 1978 Jaguar XJ-S 83k original mi was originally restored as V12 car in 2007. Original motor dropped a valve so the car was re-engineered to be lighter (reduced engine weight) more powerful (400+hp) and more reliable by removing complicated electronic V12 & FI system and then replacing with carburated Chevy 454 (500+ lbs torque) and TH400 Chevy transmission. GM Quadrajet carb will give the same 12-16mpg (driven reasonably) as the original FI V12. Bigger alternator with fewer engine electronics/no electric fuel pump means faster pw pdl and brighter headlights. Now you can have the famous Jaguar ride (like a Cadillac) and handling (like a Corvette) plus the torque (of an SS Chevelle) in a beautiful and now easy to work on sports car with genuine Conolly Leather (like Rolls) decent back seat room and a huge trunk.
This car was built by professionals that restore classic muscle cars so bargain hunters need not call. This car is not comparable to a small block conversion that doesn't create the torque needed to move a 4000 lb car quickly off the line nor did it require cutting up the original (excellent) Jaguar front springs/suspension since the 454 motor is only 100lbs lighter. Likewise this car is not the post 1980 car with very high 2.88 geared lightweight posi and way too many electronic gadgets to easily short out/go bad. This car is the early fully independant 3:31 heavy duty low geared Traction Lock (like street rodders use) Jag Rear-end with no fake wood or in-dash computer etc...and does have pw pdl 4wdb climate control Blaupunkt Stereo casette power mast telescoping wheel full reclining seats and the better looking longer lasting perforated leather. In short this was the right super clean year car to convert over to the right engine. Take this car to the drag strip or the opera/ballet; you can have it all!
New Pirellis battery engine components etc...too much to list. Car is 95% finished needing only minor exhaust sealing A/C hookup (have all Chevy parts) and tach re-calibration etc.... With 280 cam ported heads/intake & block hugger headers- nobody will mistake this car for a garden variety 350 conversion; this car looks sharp sounds great and runs strong! (740) 304-2128

2001 Ebony exterior (very dark gray with metallic - looks black to most) and black leather interior. Second owner all records driver handbook and manuals. Has newer Pirelli P6 Tires and all the options that work including power sun roof. This is hard to find 4.0 V8 32 valve motor with the 5 speed auto and Jaguar J-gate for manual shifting. Has 114 000 miles or just over 10k per year. This has been adult driven and cared for and is likely one of the cleanest S-Types around. This car has been used by non-smokers since new. Hi I have a 2002 jaguar with 127 xxx I drive it daily to work. It has new tires brakes and rotors from and rear. Leather seats heated seats. Gps navigation. Big screen display that is also touch screen. It's a 5 speed awd. Very smooth clean ride great for a family car or just to be in style I guess lol.



The bad: it has a sleight crack in windshield and the starter sometimes doesn't fully engage into the flywheel but it starts every morning for me.
