Torch red is a very popular color and this car is no exception. This is AN EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN car with a clean CarFax and no surprises (?NO? accidents, flood damage, Lemon law or Buy-back etc). This car has 22,500 miles and shows and drives as new. It has been very well cared for and shows it. There are no apologies or excuses. THE GOODYEAR TIRES are the factory run flat style tires in excellent condition. The convertible top was replaced by GM about 2 years ago (under warranty) because the rear window was seperating from the top itself. I believe it has every option available in 2001 except the adjutable sport suspension. Kelly Blue Book shows an approx. private owner sale as $24,335 (excellent), $23,385 (Good) or $21,785 (Fair) condition and this car is as close to excellent as possible (original retail cost was over $47,000).
The car doesn?t leak or otherwise use fluids between regular scheduled maintenance periods. It averages between 26.5 to 28mpg on the highway and 22mpg plus with combined city/highway usage.
Why am I selling, I?m just not using the car with putting less than 900 miles on it this year. So we decided to sell both the Corvette and our 2003 Saab convertible and replace it with one of something else (BMW, AUDI, Saab convertible Cadillac STS or CTS etc of equal value).
Driven by a mature (59 yr old) driver and always garaged plus covered with a car cover plus parked over rubber mats to protect the undercarriage. I do have a clear title for the vehicle, do not need to sell it and there is nothing wrong with the car (to my knowledge) at this time. I have it for sale to gravitate into a (slightly…..grin) more practical vehicle that will allow us to make cross-country trips to Colorado to visit the grandkids, when the occasion arises. So basically I’m looking for a vehicle in similar condition, with low mileage, without issues (a convertible a huge plus) to replace the Corvette and our Saab convertible. Entertaining at an early model muscle as a trade is a possibility but would not be my first choice for a trade. I am willing to negotiate price somewhat up to and including removing some of the add-ons to help meet a reasonable offer.
