The car has had 3k oil changes it's whole life as well as 3k mile tire rotations at Discount Tire. The Check Engine Light is on due to the after market header install. There are two catalytic converters on a stock 3. One is located on the header and one is located after the downpipe. There are 2 O2 sensors as well that follow these cats. One gives a certain readout while the other gives a completely different readout. With the first cat being removed it tampers with the readings causing the check engine light. It all has to do with the emissions of the car. Nothing mechanical or detrimental to the integrity of the car. I still get 28MPG even with all the modifications and CEL. The car has 3 blemishes two on the front bumper due to somebody backing into me and one on the driver side door with reasons unknown. Also the A/C compressor finally gave out on me. A limited edition performance tuned 2001 Mazda MP3. It has a 2.0 DOHC with many extras. The is the aftermarket version of the Protege. It is dropped half an inch all the way around with Racing Beat Springs. It also had Racing Hart Rims and body kit all the way around. Suspension is supported by firmer springs and thicker roll bars Tokico shocks and stiffer control-arm bushings. 17-inch cast aluminum Racing Hart wheels AEM intake Greddy Exhaust Greddy Short Shifter Midevil Light Crank Pulley.

I had rebuilt the motor after I blew it and everything on the motor now is brand new with less than 200 miles on it. The radiator radiator fans fuel pump water pump the head has been machined lighter crank pulley ac compressor everything is still new. I had the car running for about two weeks it ran perfect no check engine light or anything but I did not rebuild the internals.

The problem with the car is that it has a thrown rod bearing and the rear bumper is broke but still fixable. Easiest thing to do is get a new motor. This car is really good on gas and the interior is in really good condition. There are a couple minor blemishes but nothing serious. Let me know if your interested.
