1998 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT automatic transmission (clean title)
160 000 miles (the engine has approximately 41 000 miles and most of the common breaking engine parts have less than 2000 miles)

I just put a new/used engine in this car and it runs great now. The engine that I bought only had 39 000 miles as I have put on less than another 2000 miles. I bought the engine and had it put in the car in November. It is still under warranty (I have the paperwork) as it has a six month warranty.

I bought it from a company that specializes in importing and selling high quality thoroughly tested engines from Japan.

One of my friends is a big Subaru junkie. He is the one that told me about the company that sells these engines out of Japan.

He also told me that I should definitely put on new head gaskets oil seals a new water pump a new thermostat and some other parts on the engine that are so much easier to put on while you have the whole engine out of the car.

I knew that the engine from Japan with 39 000 miles would be perfectly good. However I also knew that putting on all these parts would also definitely help the longevity of the engine. For some reason the 2.5 GT engine has had issues in the past with its head gaskets and oil seals. By having put in brand-new head gaskets oil seals and other possible vulnerable parts I am saving the next owner those expenses.

So on the 39 000 mile engine that I got in November I also had the mechanic put on all of the following parts (they are listed on the receipt as follows):

As for the rest of the car it is definitely in good shape for an older used car. The transmission is excellent as is the brakes. The tires are decent and the interior is really clean. It has a couple dents although they are not bad. The main reason to buy the car would be for that engine and all the new parts I had the mechanic put on the engine before he installed it.

Or you may buy a 1995 Subaru Legacy LSI with 52k actual miles loaded for $2 500 OBO. It was in an accident with a clean title but lack of funding has made me leave it half finished when I was repairing it. It needs ruffly from the pumpkin out of the front passenger side as well as a rear passenger side ABS sensor rear passenger side window quarter glass and hatch glass as well as 4 rims and tiers to be on the safe side and yes it has 7 rims and tiers. I will throw in spare parts if purchased which are a front passenger fender and a whole rear hatch 3 rims and tiers. Yes it still starts and runs smooth and moves under it's own power thought the front panssanger tire is not straight. It is being stored outside under two tarps their is some pine resin on the hood fluids are low but still existing even the windshield washer fluid. It is red metallic loaded with gray leather interior moonroof and premium sound system radio battery and owners manual were removed and stored in doors. All lights function was maintained well when working.

The above photo link has the pre-sell inspection sheet. The inspection showed the following services are needed: replace the two CV boots replace the gasket between the oil filter adapter and block (repair includes oil change) replace the idler pulley (beginning to wear out) new air filter. The repairs add up to $650.00. I was originally asking $9K. With the repairs subtracted out the new price is $8350.00. I also have the service sheet printed from the Subaru dealership since the vehicle was originally purchased back in 2002.

I am selling my 2004 STI... Car has 108 000 miles on it completely stock nothing aftermarket has ever been installed on it.. The car is in amazing condition and runs beautifully with no problems at all! I just recently put bout 2000$ into on a brand new set of tires brand new clutch brand new O2 sensors and spark plugs.. The clutch and plugs were done last week seriously less than 200 miles on it.. and the O2 sensors were done this weekend.. All the work on the vehicle has been done but Boost INC (Harrison) who is top of the line and specializes in Subaru engines.. I have done some cosmetic work to the vehicle.. I have had Hydrographics done to the side mirrors hood scoop and fog light covers.. Its a pretty sick skull pattern and is all done professionally. I really love this car and hate to have to let it go like i mention it runs amazing with a lot of power AWD and is the car that I have wanted for a long time.. But I have ran into some really rough times and have to get out of my car payment!! The cars retail value is just over $16k and I am not factoring in any of the work I have had done to it!! This is a true Gremlin X car not originally a V8 used to have a 232 straight six. Conversion was done properly. Bull tear engine mounts were used. V8 motor was partially rebuilt but is now burning oil.

3 speed manual trans.

Dual exhaust similar to flowmasters but more throaty and less hollow sounding.
