I love this car a lot but I need something a bit more family friendly. You actually won't miss out on much fuel mileage considering how sport-oriented it is (19/27 EPA rating). With an average commute you'll average 22-24MPG (according to the onboard computer). With less traffic and a light foot I've averaged 26+ with combined city/hwy driving. It currently sits at 36 381on the Odo. Most of the miles on this have been accumulated via highway with a couple of long-distance road-trips under it's belt. I've always done the oil changes myself with AMSoil full synthetic except the first two which were done with conventional oil at 1k/3.5kmiles to break it in.
This car sits in a great balance between Luxury Sport and Value. For luxury and comfort you get heated leather seats bluetooth phone connect iPod interface power seat and push-button start. On the sportier side you can enjoy over 300hp 6 speed stick tight-yet-comfortable sport suspension and Brembo brakes (just replaced pads). And of course more-for-your-money Hyundai value priced below KBB and NADA prices. There is also your safety to consider. Everything is there to keep your organs where they belong: ABS/EBD/Brake Assist Traction Control/ESC (on/off) TPMS Active Head Restraints and front/side/curtain airbags to soften anything you can't avoid. The biggest benefit to having a Hyundai is the Warranty. I've verified that the full balance of the Factory Warranty. Meaning that you get 64k/24k of coverage just slightly lower than a lot of brand new warranties.
There are also a couple of options which I never got a chance to install (new in original packaging):
Injen CAI-$150(Retail-$300)
Short-Throw Shifter + new bushings/weighted knob-$100(Retail - $250)
