This is a RARE E21 323i Baur cabrio. These cars weren't imported in the US -- they are gray market. That means someone personally imported them at great expense (federalization costs A LOT).
Baur (Stuttgart Germany) modified a limited number of these cars in the 2002 E21 and E30 body styles. NONE of them were sold to the US market.
This car was imported to the bay area and for the past ~9 years it's been in NM. It is a RUST FREE garage queen.
It is a manual transmission manual windows steering etc. White with black tops.
It has a 5 speed dogleg manual transmission -- most people have never seen (let alone driven) such a tranny -- reverse is where first gear normally is; first is where second normally is etc.
New parts:
Engine: rebuilt with Ireland Engineering 3.0L kit (9.8:1 pistons)! I have extensive pictures and documentation of the build -- the kit alone was $2500.
$1200 in parts on the head rebuild (Schrick 272 cam). Big bore throttle body from Ed Mazula. Total engine build was north of $7k. I purchased the engine with ~20k miles on it after the car it was in was rear-ended and totaled.

Selling a 1993 BMW 740il. 175 xxx miles on trans and body but motor has 100 000 on it (I have paper work from BMW dealer showing that it had been replaced). Strong running car that has been a daily driver for the last year.Car front rotors are warped and needs to be changed and is in need of a tune up. The car has some issues as it needs a new cabin air filter to let the fan circulate air but the heater and ac works once corrected. Have some issues with the windows going up and down. Blue book on this car is suggested to be sold over 2000 and retail price is 1500 I am selling it for 1000. Needs a little work but been a good car over all. Well maintained - obvious from vehicle's condition. Excellent tires.
Though not perfect darn close. Power driver's seat recline works but needs assist. Small tear in headliner near mechanism in rear on driver's side.

This is a RARE E21 323i Baur cabrio. These cars weren't imported in the US -- they are gray market. That means someone personally imported them at great expense (federalization costs A LOT).
Baur (Stuttgart Germany) modified a limited number of these cars in the 2002 E21 and E30 body styles. NONE of them were sold to the US market.
This car was imported to the bay area and for the past ~9 years it's been in NM. It is a RUST FREE garage queen.
It is a manual transmission manual windows steering etc. White with black tops.
It has a 5 speed dogleg manual transmission -- most people have never seen (let alone driven) such a tranny -- reverse is where first gear normally is; first is where second normally is etc.
New parts:
Engine: rebuilt with Ireland Engineering 3.0L kit (9.8:1 pistons)! I have extensive pictures and documentation of the build -- the kit alone was $2500.
$1200 in parts on the head rebuild (Schrick 272 cam). Big bore throttle body from Ed Mazula. Total engine build was north of $7k. I purchased the engine with ~20k miles on it after the car it was in was rear-ended and totaled.

Selling a 1993 BMW 740il. 175 xxx miles on trans and body but motor has 100 000 on it (I have paper work from BMW dealer showing that it had been replaced). Strong running car that has been a daily driver for the last year.Car front rotors are warped and needs to be changed and is in need of a tune up. The car has some issues as it needs a new cabin air filter to let the fan circulate air but the heater and ac works once corrected. Have some issues with the windows going up and down. Blue book on this car is suggested to be sold over 2000 and retail price is 1500 I am selling it for 1000. Needs a little work but been a good car over all. Well maintained - obvious from vehicle's condition. Excellent tires.
Though not perfect darn close. Power driver's seat recline works but needs assist. Small tear in headliner near mechanism in rear on driver's side.

Selling a 1993 BMW 740il. 175 xxx miles on trans and body but motor has 100 000 on it (I have paper work from BMW dealer showing that it had been replaced). Strong running car that has been a daily driver for the last year.Car front rotors are warped and needs to be changed and is in need of a tune up. The car has some issues as it needs a new cabin air filter to let the fan circulate air but the heater and ac works once corrected. Have some issues with the windows going up and down. Blue book on this car is suggested to be sold over 2000 and retail price is 1500 I am selling it for 1000. Needs a little work but been a good car over all. Well maintained - obvious from vehicle's condition. Excellent tires.
Though not perfect darn close. Power driver's seat recline works but needs assist. Small tear in headliner near mechanism in rear on driver's side.
Small area on trunk lid where clear coat is worn. No door dings and paint is in excellent condition.

Selling a 1993 BMW 740il. 175 xxx miles on trans and body but motor has 100 000 on it (I have paper work from BMW dealer showing that it had been replaced). Strong running car that has been a daily driver for the last year.Car front rotors are warped and needs to be changed and is in need of a tune up. The car has some issues as it needs a new cabin air filter to let the fan circulate air but the heater and ac works once corrected. Have some issues with the windows going up and down. Blue book on this car is suggested to be sold over 2000 and retail price is 1500 I am selling it for 1000. Needs a little work but been a good car over all. Selling a 1993 BMW 740il. 175 xxx miles on trans and body but motor has 100 000 on it (I have paper work from BMW dealer showing that it had been replaced). Strong running car that has been a daily driver for the last year.Car front rotors are warped and needs to be changed and is in need of a tune up. The car has some issues as it needs a new cabin air filter to let the fan circulate air but the heater and ac works once corrected. Have some issues with the windows going up and down. Blue book on this car is suggested to be sold over 2000 and retail price is 1500 I am selling it for 1000. Needs a little work but been a good car over all. 2nd owner. Only 86 160 miles! Must see to truly appreciate.
Loaded - power everything heated seats new Kenwood KDC-BT848U stereo with USB and Bluetooth.
Well maintained - obvious from vehicle's condition. Excellent tires.
Though not perfect darn close. Power driver's seat recline works but needs assist. Small tear in headliner near mechanism in rear on driver's side.
Small area on trunk lid where clear coat is worn. No door dings and paint is in excellent condition.
Wind deflector included - a $400 option!
She runs beautifully and gets about 21.5mpg City and 27 Hwy - no engine or transmission issues!
Carfax and current emissions certificate will be provided to purchaser.
